Johanna joined GOGLA as the first employee back in 2013, as project and operations manager. Between 2015 and 2017 she was in charge of the enabling environment program, working to build a conducive policy environment catalyzing market development for GOGLA members. As the Policy Director, Johanna drives continuous development and improvement of policy & advocacy strategies. This includes the management of GOGLA’s work streams on enabling environment, standards and guidelines, and the association’s regional representation. Prior to joining GOGLA, Johanna had been working for the GIZ where she was actively involved in the provision of advisory services to the German Federal Ministry for Economic Development and Cooperation regarding ICT4D. She holds Bachelor degrees in Development Studies and Political Science, as well as a Master degree in Political Science from the University of Vienna.
