Erik is a Partner in TIL Ventures, a London-based innovation consultancy that helps global corporations create the new and unimagined markets of tomorrow. The former Head of the Frontier Markets Initiative at Cornell University, he is an authority on venture innovation and market creation strategies, having guided start-ups, green-field ventures, and product development teams across Eastern Europe, Africa, South Asia, Middle East, and South America. His work is published in leading management journals, including the Harvard Business Review, Sloan Management Review, Innovations, and The Wall Street Journal. His popular MOOC “Financial Modeling for the Social Sector” offered in partnership with impact investing organization, Acumen, has been downloaded over 60,000 times since launch. Erik holds a PhD in Management from Cornell, an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he received the Norman Block Award for highest academic achievement, and a BA magna cum laude from Wake Forest University.
